Privacy Policy

Sorted, a product of L CUBE YOO PTY LTD (ABN 18 691 176 940) ("we", "us"), provides bookkeeping software for Australian sole traders. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

• Account details — your name and email address when you sign up.
• Financial records you enter — income, expenses, categories, GST flags, notes, and any receipt or bank statement files you upload or import.
• Payment information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number; we keep only a customer/subscription reference and plan status.
• Technical data — device, browser and basic usage information (for example error logs) needed to run and secure the service.

We never ask for your bank login. Sorted does not connect to your bank or access your accounts. You stay in control of what you enter or import.

• To provide the service — store your ledger, generate accountant packs and exports, and show insights.
• To run AI features — receipt images and transaction text are processed to read totals, dates and GST and to suggest categories.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To provide support and send essential service messages (for example email verification).
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

To read receipts and categorise transactions, the relevant content (such as a receipt image or a line description) is sent to our AI provider for processing and returned to you. This content is used to perform your request and is not used to train third-party models. See sub-processors below.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Sorted:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Anthropic — AI processing for receipt reading and categorisation.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Email delivery provider — transactional emails (for example verification).

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information where required by law.

You own the records you enter. You can export your ledger to CSV at any time, and you can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your records from active systems; limited information may be retained where required for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes.

We use reputable cloud infrastructure and apply access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate core features. We do not use them for third-party advertising.

Sorted is intended for business owners and is not directed at anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notice in the app.
